From Xerox Shop to Global Impact: My Journey of Building Otomatiks and the Satkar Group

When I look back on my journey, I’m reminded of a simple dream that started with a young man working in a small Xerox shop. My goal back then was modest: learn, grow, and maybe, one day, make a difference. Today, that dream has evolved into something far bigger than I could have imagined. Otomatiks, the company I founded, has empowered over 150,000 students to think critically and solve real-world problems. But this story goes beyond one organization—it’s a story of resilience, vision, and a mission to make a lasting impact.

How It All Began

I started my career in a Xerox shop. It wasn’t glamorous, but it taught me the value of hard work and opened a door I never expected. One day, I got an opportunity to join a computer course at CSC Computer Education. Eager to learn, I jumped at the chance, working and studying at the same time. My dedication paid off, and soon, I was offered a job at CSC, where I quickly rose through the ranks to become branch manager at their Malleswaram branch in Bangalore.

This was just the beginning. From there, I became a marketing manager at Jaguar Education and Services, a company focused on SAP training. Eventually, with the support of my old Xerox shop employer, I was able to open my own CSC branch in Palamaner, Andhra Pradesh. This support meant the world to me; it was a testament to the power of faith and mentorship.

Creating Otomatiks: A Vision Takes Shape

Returning to my hometown, I started my own brand, Avinasha Infotech, offering computer training. As I taught, I realized that education needed to do more than teach skills—it needed to spark curiosity and prepare students for real-world challenges. Avinasha Infotech eventually became Otomatiks, a platform where students could dive into robotics, coding, and STEM education. My vision was to create a place where students would not just learn but truly experience education, connecting academics with the world around them.

Today, Otomatiks isn’t just a place to learn; it’s a place to dream big. Our mission is ambitious: to inspire problem-solvers, future leaders, and maybe even future Nobel laureates. We’re here to transform the way students think and empower them to shape a better tomorrow.

Building a Legacy: The Satkar Group

Otomatiks is part of a larger dream—the Satkar Group, which includes Fortea, an elite cafe; Branzoid, a branding agency; and Jobritz, a manpower consultancy. Each brand is part of my vision to create opportunities across industries, bringing people together and building communities.

My goal is to employ 1,000 people across the Satkar Group, impacting not only their lives but also the lives of their families. And my dream doesn’t stop there. I envision building a legacy—a group that will continue, led by strong, capable leaders, for the next 150 years. I want to create something that will keep transforming lives long after I’m gone, an organization where leaders grow and carry the torch forward, serving the communities they touch.

Giving Back to the Community

As Otomatiks grew, so did my desire to give back. That’s why I founded the Otomatiks Education Foundation. Through CSR funds and donations, we provide STEM education to students who otherwise wouldn’t have access to it. We aim to break down financial barriers and ensure that every child, regardless of background, can pursue their dreams and build a future.

Beyond Otomatiks, I’m also a director of the 5th Pillar, an NGO dedicated to creating a corruption-free nation. I believe in building a society where integrity and opportunity go hand-in-hand, and I’m proud to support this mission in every way I can.

Expanding to Dubai: The Journey Continues

As we expanded Otomatiks to Dubai, new opportunities and challenges arose. Setting up in a new country tested my resilience and pushed me to think even bigger. Our Dubai branch is designed to meet the demands of an evolving world, offering courses in robotics, coding, and multimedia. Here, we are building a global community of learners and innovators, empowering students with skills that will serve them for life.

Education, to me, is about more than classrooms. It’s about creating a community—a place where students, parents, and educators can connect, grow, and support each other. Through social media, especially on Instagram as sathish_educationist, I share parenting insights, education tips, and career guidance. It’s my way of reaching people beyond the walls of Otomatiks and building a community that believes in the power of learning by doing.

As I look ahead, I’m excited about what’s next. Otomatiks and the Satkar Group are more than businesses—they are legacies in the making. My dream is to see them thrive for generations, creating leaders who are equipped to take on the world. I am committed to growing, learning, and doing everything I can to make this vision a reality.
